The Zauberberg above Davos provides style for friends of slower traditional winter sports. Skiers are still passed the T-Bar by hand to authentic folk music. You go easily uphill, and the slopes are gentle to ski down. Skiing as was before, relaxed and experiencing nature. Schatzalp / Strela became the first European ski area thanks to this charm.
The Schatzalp, located 300 meters above Davos, is the starting point for the classic toboggan run to Davos Platz, which the writer Thomas Mann wrote about in his novel «The Magic Mountain». The wide, well-groomed toboggan run is 2.8 km long and has 18 curves through the Schatzalp Zauberwald down to Davos Platz. The toboggan run is also suitable for children and beginners.
