The Berschnerfall near Walenstadt is a 46 m high waterfall, well hidden in a small ravine. A hiking trail leads from the village of Berschis to the waterfall in about 25 minutes.

Description

The Berschnerfall, located above Berschis near Walenstadt, is 46 meters high and is classified as a “single-drop” waterfall. Although well hidden, it is no less impressive. From the village of Berschis, it takes about 25 minutes on foot to reach a small ravine, where, after a curve around a rock, the Berschnerfall suddenly towers before the visitor. An information post in the village of Berschis provides details about the Berschnerfall and points the way. It is located at the intersection of Bachsandweg and Cavortschstrasse on the way to the St. Georgen hill. Tip: Visit the waterfall in spring during the snowmelt or after heavy rainfall.
