A moving story for children and adults alike!
The educational trail leads through the idyllic Taiswald forest from Pontresina railway station or Surovas. 16 boards provide lots of fun facts about the 100-year history of the Bernina railway line. In an illustrative presentation the info panels relate stories from the founding years to the present day. Rare photographs and documents, surprising, entertaining and tragic events make for a rewarding exploration of the educational trail and for a fascinating walk. Allow approx. 45 mins to complete the trail. The project ‘100 Years of the Bernina Railway’ was created by pupils of the Pontresina secondary school to commemorate the centenary of the Bernina Railway Line in 2010.
