Description
In addition to the Hochalpines Institut cross-country trail in Ftan, the 21 km long valley trail (with loops: 30.5 km) between Martina and Scuol is a highlight for cross-country skiers and has been the basis for the traditional Passlung Martina - Scuol race for 35 years. The trail leads over a length of two kilometres through couped terrain without any difficulties. Over short ascents and descents as well as sharp curves, you glide racy along the Inn and through the wide, open winter landscape. This trail offers both beginners and advanced skiers a night-time sporting experience, whether classic or skating.
There are also connections to the Engadin Skimarathon trail from Zernez, Susch and Giarsun (near Guarda), as well as circular trails with various challenges in Ardez, Ftan, Tarasp and on the Motta Naluns.The night trails in Zernez, Ardez, Ftan and Scuol are further highlights of the Engadin Scuol Zernez cross-country centre.
Directions
Public Transport
- By Rhaetian Railway (from Chur, Landquart/Prättigau or Upper Engadine) and PostBus (from Tarasp, Sent or Ftan) to the station.
- Continue by PostBus to the trail entrance at the PostBus stop.
- From Scuol-Tarasp railway station, take the PostBus every hour to the various trail entrances.
Directions
- From the north: via Landquart - Klosters by car transport through the Vereina Tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains) or via the Flüela Pass into the Lower Engadine on H27.
- From the east: via Landeck / Austria in the direction of St. Moritz on H27
- From the south: via Reschenpass (Nauders-Martina) or Ofenpass (Val Müstair-Zernez) on H27
The towns of Scuol, Sent (branch off to Sur En), Ramosch, Strada and Martina are on the Engadin road H27
