Description

The Maadseeli is located at 2,188 meters above sea level, directly on the Sardona World Heritage Trail and above the Spitzmeilen Hut. All around the Maadseeli, the red Verrucano rock stretches across wide areas. Among it, you’ll also find some yellow-colored rocks and splendid flowers such as gentian, leopard’s bane, and soapwort. With the distinctive Spitzmeilen mountain in the background, the Maadseeli regularly attracts photographers. Tip: The easiest way to reach the Maadseeli is from the Maschgenkamm. A visit to the Spitzmeilen Hut is almost a must.
