Hike step by step on the trail of the third longest glacier in the Eastern Alps - this is what the Morteratsch glacier trail offers. 16 stops inform about the retreat of the glacier and about the mysterious life in the apron. The destination is already visible after a 50-minute walk from Morteratsch train station; the gigantic tongue of ice. Countless benches invite you to linger and be amazed on the way to the Morteratschl glacier with a view of the magnificent Bernina massif. Accessible on foot, by bike or cross-country skis Approx. 2.5 km from the Morteratsch level crossing to the glacier tongue.
