Mountain Summit

Three-country peak

The Dreiländerspitze is considered the border point of cultures between the Alemannic-influenced Vorarlberg, the Bavarian-influenced Tyrol and the Rhaeto-Romanic cultural area of the Lower Engadine.

Description

The peak consists of 2 summits, the lower one about 50 feet below the higher one. The mountain seems to have aroused great interest when it was first climbed for surveying purposes, and only a second mountain hiker left a description of his "conquest" and shared the mountain panorama and the beauty of the mysterious Silvretta with the people.
