Arosa Sounds - Frank Muschalle
Description
Boogie-Woogie with heart, groove, and a fine sense of nuance: Frank Muschalle brings the sound of the 1930s into the here and now. As one of the most internationally renowned Boogie pianists, he has been touring the world for over 30 years – from Europe to North and South America to Africa. For example, from 2022 to 2025, various concert tours took place in Canada and the USA, organized by the German Embassy and the Goethe Institute. The tours took Frank to Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, Cincinnati, and San Francisco. Solo at the piano, Muschalle demonstrates what this style has to offer: driving bass lines, a flying right hand, bluesy interludes, and always surprising improvisations. Whether fast-paced or laid-back, classical or completely free – his concerts are full of energy, joy of playing, and musical depth. Frank Muschalle knows how to tell stories with his playing. Sometimes grooving, sometimes melancholic, sometimes explosive – always authentic and with a fine feeling for dynamics and atmosphere. Between the pieces, he gives charming insights into the history of Boogie and his own musical journey. 15 CDs have been released by Frank so far, and Jazzpodium wrote: "....Muschalle opens up not only new venues for his music but also new creative horizons...."A piano solo concert with Frank Muschalle is not a nostalgia program – but vibrant music that goes under the skin. Frank Muschalle, piano solo
