Book launch with Margrit Cantieni

Against all resistance. Summer 1941. Thousands of Polish soldiers fleeing from the German Wehrmacht are interned in Switzerland and celebrated as heroes by the locals. But soon the mood changes, and the previously welcome refugees become a supposed threat. One of them is Marek, who meets the young Sofia in the labour camp. It's love at first sight, but the longer the war lasts, the more unwanted their relationship becomes. Do they manage to defy the rules of society and find happiness together?

Margrit Cantieni
After training in business administration, Margrit Cantieni worked in the cultural, social and commercial sectors. In 2009 she founded Cancas Verlag, which specializes in books related to Central Grisons and in which she also publishes her own works. Her debut novel »Nicht von hier« was published in 2020. Margrit Cantieni is married and lives in Chur.
