Chestnut Festival - Sagra della castagna

In mid-October, the Valposchiavo celebrates the chestnuts. On the program are numerous attractions that celebrate the cultural and natural heritage of the region. The Sagra della Castagna, founded in 2000 to celebrate the restoration of the numerous chestnut groves in Brusio, has become an important folk festival in the valley in recent years.

This festival is attended not only by the local population but also by the guests of Valposchiavo, who care about authentic culinary delights and getting to know the cultural roots of the territory. On the cultural program of the event are local delicacies "100% Valposchiavo", guided tours of the chestnut groves, a market with local specialties and traditional southern Alpine music.
