Cultural hike "In Roman footsteps" with Tumasch Planta

Tumasch Planta, a profound connoisseur of historical transport routes, leads you on special cultural hikes along former Alpine routes of the Romans. Among other things, the following hike takes place in Surses:

Julier – Maloja Pass (1 day)
From Roman cart tracks at the Julier Pass to the path ramp at the Maloja Pass. As the only passable Alpine crossings in Roman times far and wide, the archaeological traces on the Julier, Maloja and Septimer passes reveal unimagined things about the road system 2000 years ago.

Dates: Sunday, June 29 or Thursday, August 21, 2025
Meeting point: Julier Veduta at 9.10 am
Requirements: Hiking equipment, lunch, 3h walking time
Costs: CHF 80.-/pers. for 4-8 participants. For groups, daily flat rate on request.
