Ilanzer Sommer: Film series Stad la Pasch - La Mif

«Who are you?» – «The punk queen in the land of assholes». This is how the authentic social drama begins, which was written and filmed together with residents and directors of a real girls' home. A group of teenage women live in the home, a place where the girls experience security for the first time. However, crises and conflicts are inevitable, because the temperaments of the young women are different. Their hunger for life is huge, their place in society noticeably precarious. Then an incident triggers an avalanche of events and exposes a backward system.

Together with the Swiss Platform for Peacebuilding KOFF and the Cinema Sil Plaz, the Ilanzer Sommer presents the film series Stad da Pasch. The unifying element of this year's film selection are people who work tirelessly and with moral courage for a cause that actually exceeds the horizon of a single person. Major topics such as climate change, democratization and social equality are taken up in the four impressive films and then discussed in a moderated discussion of around thirty minutes.
