Linda Semadeni. Manor Art Prize Graubünden

Linda Semadeni (*1985) is showing a series of drawings from 2022 (still untitled) for the first time as part of the Manor Art Prize exhibition. A performative exploration underlies the comprehensive group of works. Linda Semadeni's movements are visible in every stroke, in every mark. The memorable works oscillate between a performative and pictorial level. Through stretching, twisting and repetition, she transfers a sentence in a variety of ways into its fragments such as "not", "nice", "hot", "girl" or "I'm". She persistently repeats a sequence of movements and only applies the self-imposed rules only to break them immediately. With her work, Linda Semadeni explores the question of how our actions and thoughts are influenced and makes the drawings the stage for her reflections.
