LOT

«LOS» is a symbiosis of literature and virtual reality. In his 2005 story about Peter Thaler, who sets off on a hike in the Swiss mountains in search of a foothold, the Aargau author Klaus Merz creates an entire life story with sparing sentences.

For the virtual reality reading, twelve original passages of the text were selected and re-arranged. Director Sandro Zollinger carefully embeds the narrative essence, read aloud by Klaus Merz, like an analogue reading, in an impressive reading journey through rooms filmed in VR. «LOS» succeeds in finding a balance between the imagination triggered by the text and the overwhelming visual power of the new medium.

Through the interwoven perception of text and space, a completely new literary experience emerges - literature is expanded in its ambiguity.
