Scythe instead of trimmers

The scythe is historically one of the most interesting tools. Many idioms, coats of arms or even family names still point to the cultural value of this craft tool.

Unfortunately, today the scythe is often displaced by its "motorized relative" - the brushcutter. There are certainly economic aspects that speak for hand mowing and nature also says thank you, especially insects, amphibians and reptiles.

The course day with Jürg von Känel from the Sensenwerkstatt Mammern (TG) is aimed at all interested persons who would like to learn more about working with the scythe and caring for the tool. Also the practical practice is not too short and so that a comfortable posture is taken when mowing, the exercise scythes are adapted to your body size. Also whether you are left- or right-handed, is taken into account.
