Guided hike
Description
Difficulty T3 (SAC scale)
On an old path we climb through the gorge landscape of the Seez to the beautiful Klus. Back a bit, it goes steeply up to the humpbacked plateau with the Chapfensee, through a unique moor landscape, to the scattered settlement Vermol, at the end diagonally the slope down into the Weisstannental.
In the inconspicuous ravine of the Seez you will come across wonderful scenic and geological features. The humpback landscape around the Chapfensee and the scattered erratics tell of the former effect of the Rhine glacier. The moors are part of a landscape of particular beauty and great biodiversity. On the descent we cross the Glarus thrust, which descends steeply towards Lake Walen.
