"Sound on, film off!"

Who doesn't remember their first visit to the cinema? Fresh taste of popcorn, red carpet in the foyer or pleasantly upholstered seats in the hall: impressions that make watching the film a special experience. Above all, it is the music that finally captivates the viewers, touches them and makes their hair stand on end. Reason enough for the Kammerphilharmonie to dedicate its own concert programme to these melodies and to take the audience into the world of blockbusters. Whether cartoons such as "Tom and Jerry", incredible stories such as those of the young "Forest Gump" or superheroes such as "Indiana Jones" – at the orchestral concert on 7 May at the Theater Chur there is a suitable work for every cinema fan. The conductor Jonas Ehrler, who grew up in Baden and recently (2021) appeared as a finalist at the Karajan Young Conductors Award and thus symbolizes a future generation of young conductors. The evening will be hosted by none other than actress Susanne Kunz, who has been seen as a presenter at SRF in various formats over the past 20 years.
