Workshop with NOU

Esther Schena and Jennifer Grunder know each other through a common passion, namely screen printing. In Zurich, they have collaborated several times on projects and the workshop at Chasa Jaura will be another collaboration. Since 2014, textile designer and mediator Jennifer Grunder has been committed to the preservation and reinterpretation of environmentally friendly natural colours with her label Nou. She teaches the production and application in courses. Nou also launches seasonal collections in small quantities. Nature provides the framework for production with its seasons and flowering times. Nou attaches great importance to careful craftsmanship and genuine craftsmanship. All colors and most of the products are made by hand locally in Zurich. For the workshop in the Chasa Jaura, plants from the surrounding area are collected and converted into textile dyes. The participants can then use these colours to print on textiles. Motifs from the exhibition visibel – invisibel will be made available for the prints. In addition, simple shapes can also be created and printed on site.
