In Oberengadin near St. Moritz horses pull romantic couples or even families through the high valley in carriages. This was a bit different one hundred years ago: The noble animals had to work hard and were used for transport in the rugged mountain areas. Same in Pontresina, where Luigi Costa acquired the first mules in 1919. He realized a long-cherished dream, which still lives on today via Diego Costa and his wife Carolin.
