Hiking for Railway Fans
The Rhaetian Railway (RhB) transports hiking enthusiasts not only to the starting points of many treks, but is in itself a reason to go hiking in Graubünden. An example is the Albula railway experience trail, which runs from the Albula tunnel in Preda via the railway village of Bergün to the Landwasser viaduct in Filisur. The Via Albula/Bernina long-distance trail also crosses the railway multiple times but requires a little more stamina than the family-friendly theme trail. Fortunately however, hikers with tired legs can always hop onto the red train instead.
