The hut is situated at 2328 m above Lake Albigna. It is surrounded by huge granite peaks, glaciers and passes. The ideal place for climbing and training courses.

Description

Maintenance

The hut is manned from mid-June to the beginning of October. A winter room is available for the rest of the year. The hut has 85 beds with comforters, running water and showers.
The hut can be reached from the mountain station of the Albigna cable car in around an hour on an easily accessible hiking trail.

Hut sleeping bags obligatory

For reasons of hygiene, it is compulsory to bring a sleeping bag and a pillowcase. These items can also be rented.

Further information

Dogs and dog owners are welcome. Day guests with dogs are very welcome on the terrace. For reasons of hygiene, dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, dining room or bedrooms. For overnight guests with dogs, it is necessary that the dog can sleep alone and quietly on a blanket in the entrance room.

No WLAN, but the cell phone reception outside by the flagpole is quite good (with Swisscom)

The hut belongs to the SAC section Hoher Rohn.

Overnight stay with half board (dinner, breakfast, tea on the march)

  • SAC members and members of organizations with reciprocal rights, all members of the army, civil defence, border patrol, police and rescue services CHF 65.
  • Members of the SAC Youth CHF 54.
  • All other visitors from the age of 18 CHF 77.
  • Groups of 4 or more with a mountain guide CHF 73
  • Young people up to the age of 18 CHF 59
  • Children aged 7 to 12 accompanied by an adult CHF 44
  • Children up to 6 years accompanied by an adult CHF 19
  • Mountain guides in the exercise of their profession CHF 41.

The Albigna hut is manned from mid-June to the beginning of October.
