Season Opening: Skiing Season Starts in October

Good news for all skiers and snowboarders: If temperatures permit, two ski resorts will start their winter season in October.

Bivio: With the Pistenbock to the T-bar lift

Thanks to a special holder on the sledge, you can comfortably take the toboggan lift from Bivio to the Camon middle station. After refreshments on the sun terrace with the same name as the mountain restaurant, you’ll take on the sled track back to the valley which is the more than two kilometers long. For this, an extremely agile sled, the Pistenbock will be needed.

Arosa: From the Ski Slope to Bärenland

In Bärenland, below the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car, bears who are rescued from poor care, by the animal welfare organization Vier Pfoten, receive a new home. Its first inhabitant, Napa, moved in in August. Depending on the snow conditions and hibernation, the Bärenland is also open in winter.

Engadin St. Moritz: Snow Deal

Since September 1st, 2018, a new pricing model applies to the ski passes of the Upper Engadin mountain railways. The prices for daily and multi-day tickets vary depending on the demand on the respective validity date. Early bookers who book 15 days or more in advance save up to 30 percent with the ‘Snow-Deal’.
