292 Langlaufloipe Degen, Val Lumnezia

In the plain of Degen you will find a 4 km long trail with fantastic views of the mountains of the Val Lumnezia. The cross-country ski trail leads over a rather flat terrain and is therefore suitable for beginners as well as for professionals, it is groomed classically as well as for skating.  The entrance to the cross-country ski run is located on the upper edge of the village of Degen about 100 m from the parking lot.

Cross-country ski passes can be obtained from the tourist office in Vella. Day passes can be detached at the cross-country ski run.               

Night trail every Tuesday and Thursday 18:00 – 21:00

Important Notice

From 18:00 the trail is closed for grooming. Running on a freshly groomed trail destroys it for the next day. We kindly ask you to use the trail in the evening only on the day provided for this purpose.

Night trail

From 14 December 2021 to 3 March 2022, part of the trail (approx. 1 km) will be illuminated every Tuesday and Thursday from 18.00 to 21.00.

Good cross-country skiing equipment is necessary for this route. Great importance should be attached to functional cross-country clothing, suitable cross-country skis, poles of the right length and grown and suitable cross-country skis in length. To protect your eyes, sports glasses with UV protection should be worn. Our sports shops in surselva will be happy to advise you further.

Cross-country skiing equipment can be rented at Menzli Sport in Vella.

Take the RhB to Ilanz, then take the Postbus in the direction of Vrin to the Vella posta stop. Change in Vella in the Postbus to Degen. 

During the winter season, the Postbus can be used free of charge by everyone on the Ilanz – Vrin line and on the other lines throughout the municipality of Lumnezia.
