Description

The Runca Flow Trail from Naraus to Flims is moderately difficult and offers a great deal of variety for experienced riders and beginners alike. The Runca Trail was awarded the ‘Flow Country Trail’ label by the IMBA (International Mountain Bicycling Association) in autumn 2012. Its length of 6km makes it one of the longest Flow Country Trails in Europe.

The Runca Trail runs from Naraus to Flims and combines a pump track and northshore elements with untouched countryside. You set off from the valley station in Flims (1,100m). From there two chairlifts take you via Foppa to the start at Naraus (1,842m). The trail appeals to riders who are at home on medium or easy trails. Enthusiastic novices cruise over simple obstacles such as rollers, while experienced freestylers race over more challenging jumps at high speed.

The numerous pump track, northshore and dirt elements make the Runca Trail an experience in a league of its own for all mountain bike riders. The new trail surface and the many structures make it a ‘flowing’ trail with a good grip even when wet. And those who find the many corners, wall rides and drops too precarious can simply take the ‘chicken lines’ to bypass the obstacles.
