Description
You can start the Kesch-Trek either from Dürrboden or the Flüela Pass. We recommend using public transport to reach the respective starting points. Timetables can be found on the internet or obtained from the Destination Davos Klosters. Your first stage goal is the Grialetsch Hut SAC, where you will spend the night.
Hidden Gem
Fancy a small detour with an incredible view? The Flüela Schwarzhorn (3147 m above sea level) is a three-thousander with an easy ascent.
Safety Note
The Kesch-Trek is an alpine mountain hike. Possible dangers in the high mountains must be properly assessed. The hiking stages require good fitness.
In October and from the end of April to the end of May, the Swiss Army conducts shooting exercises around S-chanf. Therefore, the area between S-chanf and the Dürrboden mountain guesthouse is closed at this time in the Scaletta and Grialetsch area (danger to life).
Equipment
Sturdy mountain boots, weatherproof and warm clothing, rain protection, provisions for the hiking stages (lunch packages can also be obtained at the huts), sufficient water, sun and head protection, a pocket first aid kit, maps for orientation, and possibly hiking sticks.
