Corvatsch Lake Trail (SwitzerlandMobility route 565)

From Sils, situated between the lakes of Sils and Silvaplana, you take the cable car up to Furtschellas middle station. The Lake Trail has now been converted into a snowshoe circuit. The circular hike starts at 2312 metres above sea level and winds its way eastwards through an almost untouched winter landscape towards the Ustaria Rabgiusa, which is located in the middle of the circular trail. Right at the beginning you cross the piste 19a "Furtschellas unten", where caution is advised. After the steep ascent to point 2441, enjoy the views of the frozen lakes in the valley below and up to the icy and rocky flanks of the Corvatsch massif above.

From here you continue on flatter terrain to point 2456, which is a perfect photo spot. To capture the wide view, a smartphone with panorama function is recommended. Now the path goes slightly downhill before making a wide loop and leading to the Ustaria Rabgiusa. The large sun terrace with wind protection is the ideal place to take a break. After some well-deserved refreshment, the trail then heads west back toward the Furtschellas middle station. After a gentle ascent you will pass the Lejin Epidot (Lake Epidot). From here the trail goes only downhill to the starting point at the Furtschellas middle station.
