Description

The route starts on Piz Nair and is only available during the summer season of the mountain railways (July to October). From the summit, the single trail descent leads to the Suvretta Pass through a high alpine mountain world. The trail over to Munt da San Murrezzan is a tricky affair, with numerous steep but well-rideable ramps to master. By the way, the view of the opposite Bernina massif is particularly impressive from here. The world-cup trail then begins at the mountain station of the chairlift. It starts as a «natural» single trail, which then turns into a man-made world-class flow trail further down. Even a 360-degree curve is built in here. The path leads to shortly above the Signal lift, from where you ride over to Chantarella. You will then use the funicular for the ascent to Corviglia to start the second part of the tour over to Trais Fluors. For this you will steeply ascend up a gravel road to reach the Lej Alv reservoir lake, where you will then climb on a single trail up to Trais Fluors. Very fit mountain bikers manage 90% of this climb on the bike, but most have to get off and push a little longer here. Once the mountain station of the Trais-Fluors lift has been reached, a few more meters have to be climbed on a single trail. There you will find a unique lunar landscape at your feet - far below you the open valley floor with the Samedan airfield and in the background the Piz Palü and Piz Bernina. The path meanders down to Munt da la Bes-cha. One follows a part of the mountain path on the left, but then soon turns right into a serpentine trail, which continues all the way until the very bottom of the valley.

Incidentally: Danny MacAskill was very impressed about these flow trails in the "Home of Trails" video. His words: «The downhill trail was like an endless ride on a magic carpet»
