Description

The hike starts at the train station below the Diavolezza cable car valley station. A short stretch towards Bernina Suot and then turn left and zigzag past alpine rose bushes and partly over roots and stones up to Lej Pers. It is worth stopping here to enjoy the unique view. The path continues (partly marked only with cairns) to Lej da las Collinas. The area between Lej Pers and Lej da las Collinas is a marshland with rare plant and animal species. The hiking trail now joins the ski slope, which you follow up to Lej da Diavolezza. Just above the lake, the path branches down into Val d'Arlas. A glacier used to be located in Val d'Arlas. There, you descend slowly over meadows on the southern flank of the valley to the back Alp Bondo and then continue walking along the RhB railway tracks to the Diavolezza cable car valley station.
