Details

Description

We hike down a quiet side road to the Rhine. Because the river receives almost no sun in winter, the snow caps in the riverbed remain for a long time and the bushes on the banks are beautifully decorated with hoarfrost. In Cavardiras, we admire the richly decorated church dedicated to Saint Sogn Antoni. We continue hiking to Pardomat and Madernal and return to the sunny south side. The path runs close to the river to Disla, another charming hamlet. The end of the hike leads us up to the cantonal road, through a bright forest to Faltscharidas and back to our starting point.

Hidden Gem

Recommended hike if you don't necessarily want to be on snow. (quiet side roads)
