Description

We start our hike at the charming RhB station Igis. At the bus stop "Kreuz-wiese" we turn left, soon cross the Mühlebach and leave the paved road near Mühlihof by turning right. Soon we discover the first of numerous biotopes along our way to Landquart. Slightly above the gas station near the Ganda, a nice barbecue area invites you to take a break.

We continue to the old cantonal road bridge over the Landquart river. On the small gravel area, the former RhB station Felsenbach used to be, which served as the station for the inhabitants of Valzeina. We turn left, go under the main road and hike on the path between the Malanser Mühlbach and the RhB tracks to the biotope Dunggelauli. A look at the numerous ponds is worthwhile. There is always something to discover.

At the next fork, we keep left, cross the railway line and thus return to the Landquart. We stay on the right river embankment and hike on it up to the intersection by Karlihof. Here we change side, go under the main road and along the left bank soon reach the destination at Landquart station.
