A walk through the vineyards of the Bündner Herrschaft from Malans via Jenins to Maienfeld. Along the way, you pass the House of Bündner Wine and the Heidi Village.
This walk starts at Malans train station. Along the main road, you walk to Postplatz, where you follow the hiking signpost towards Jenins and cross the wine-growing village of Malans with its old manor houses and its less attractive new housing estates to the valley station of the Älplibahn. From there, you walk parallel to the road via a beautiful forest path towards Jenins. The path crosses a stream to a playground and then crosses another stream immediately. Right after this, the regular hiking trail would branch upwards. However, this is not possible with a wheelchair. Therefore, you follow the little-used road for a short stretch to Jenins. Through the beautiful wine village of Jenins, you walk on the village street to the parking lot at the village entrance. Here, a path branches off to the left upwards towards Rofels, a hamlet above Maienfeld. In Rofels, you now have the option to take the path via the nearby, tourist-popular Heidi Village. However, the access path is very steep. Alternatively, you can follow the road to Maienfeld. In both cases, you must finally walk down Bovelgasse towards Maienfeld, which is not attractive as the street can be heavily trafficked depending on weather and time of day.
