Monbiel Run
The run from the old Walser village Monbiel to the quiet Alp Garfiun is perfect for clearing your head and mind – an oasis of calm. Especially when it has freshly snowed, you can't help but feel transported into a winter fairy tale. The return route leads along the enchanted winter landscape of the Landquart river all the way to Klosters Platz.

Description
The starting point of the winter trail running route is the Monbiel parking bus stop in Monbiel - by the way the highest permanently inhabited settlement in Prättigau. Accessible from Klosters Platz.
From the bus stop, follow the marked winter hiking trail with a slight ascent to Pardenner Boden and further to Alp Garfiun. Shortly before reaching the Alpine hut, the path rises a little more. Once you arrive at Alp Garfiun, the cozy hut with fine alpine dishes and a fantastic mountain panorama invites you to enjoy.
On the way back, go down from Alp Garfiun to the Landquart river, which you follow to Baretschrüti. Then the path leads back along the Landquart below Monbiel all the way to Klosters Platz.
Hidden Gem
Be sure to enjoy the beautiful view on the lovely terrace of Alp Garfiun with a refreshing drink.
