Description

Take the FlemXpress or the Nagens Shuttle to the starting point on the mountain. After a few metres in altitude, you reach the Grauberg. Once at the top, the lower Segnesboden lies at your feet and you have a clear view of the Tschingelhörner. After a short descent, the lower Segensboden, a flat moor of national importance, is half circumnavigated before the route climbs towards the Segnespass. On the way to the upper Segensboden, you have a perfect view of the famous Martinsloch. Once you have rounded the expansive and surprisingly flat upper Segensboden, the last short ascent of the day awaits you. The barren high alpine landscape with its 3000 metre peaks is unique. From the ‘Fuorcla Raschaglius’ point at 2561 metres, the route descends continuously for 1000 metres through the unique Bargis high valley. Look into the mountain flanks, perhaps you can spot chamois and ibex. Marmots are also among the inhabitants of the high valley. At La Rusna, you can make a short detour to the cathedral, the waterfall, which is also popular as an energetically powerful place.

Hidden Gem

The quick detour to the Cathedral Waterfall is well worth it.
