Show all 6 images
Third stage of the National Park Bike Tour from Livigno over the Chaschauna Pass down to S-chanf
The route first leads into the Valle Federia, before a gravel road zigzags up to the Rifugio Cassana. Shortly afterwards the pass Chaschauna is reached. Sufficient time should be taken into account here. The following descent runs on the newly developed, flowing single trail to Alp Chaschauna, where there is probably the best apple strudel. From here, the trail joins the alpine road that leads to S-chanf. At Vaüglia Suot it goes over the bridge and into the forest. Shortly thereafter, S-chanf, the end point of the 3rd stage, is reached.
On high-altitude sections, snowfields are possible until the summer months.
The tour was evaluated in favorable weather conditions, the current weather conditions and weather forecasts must be observed before the tour starts. This tour does not place any special demands on driving safety and technical skills.
