Description

The route starts at the church and initially follows the Walserweg Safiental for a short time. You steadily climb first into the lonely Tällital and then continue over rocky passages to the Schneeböden. Finally, you spot the summit. But first, you have to cross the high plateau before mastering the last rocky ascent. You are rewarded with a wonderful panoramic view.

Public Transport

Take the train to Versam-Safien station. Change to the post bus towards Thalkirch. Another transfer at the Tenna junction. Few buses go directly to Tenna.

Parking

There are few parking spaces at the church. Additional parking about 100 m further at the workshop yard.

Evangelical Church Tenna

With the Reformation around 1524, the church was converted into a sober sermon hall. The whitewashed frescoes from the late Middle Ages have been uncovered again today and are much admired.
