Show all 8 images
From the valley station (917 m above sea level) it goes via Plandadein and Cania up to the mountain station (1700 m above sea level). Arriving at the top, the snowshoe tour leads towards Höreli (1788 m above sea level). From there you have a unique view of the Vorderprättigau and even as far as Chur, the Lenzerheide and the Grisons Oberland. Continue up to the "Brunnen" at 1920 m.M., the highest point of the Scheeschuhtour. Under the majestic sight of the Fanaser local mountain Sassauna (2307 m above sea level) the signalled path leads you gently down towards Huoba (1811 m above sea level). From there it goes back to the mountain station of the cable car. You can stop at the cosy mountain inn Sassauna right at the mountain station or in the Plandadein-Baizli (between Cania and the valley station).
Snowshoes can be rented comfortably at the valley station and returned after the tour.
The marked snowshoe tour leads into the unsecured, partly alpine winter terrain. It is up to each tourer to fully equip themselves and to inform themselves about the snow and avalanche conditions before the tour.
The time is a guideline in good conditions for reasonably experienced tourers. Times for snowshoe tours can vary greatly depending on conditions, equipment and condition. Plan enough time and start early for the planned tour!
This tour description and the marking in the terrain do not represent a tour recommendation. Each inspection decision is the sole responsibility of the individual tourer. An inspection in poor visibility conditions (fog, snowfall, etc.) or in the event of an increased avalanche danger is strongly discouraged. Attention spring conditions: From about March and generally on warm and /or very sunny days, tours must be ended early.
