Vastur – Sent

From the PostBus stop Sent, Sala, the path leads approx. 100m to the west and turns onto the "Stron" path at the fork. Past the fountain, the path follows the "Via Veglia Vers Scuol" signposts in the direction of Restaurant Vastur. The ascent to the Restaurant Vastur is on the actual toboggan run and takes approx. 60 minutes. Be careful of sledgers on the hiking trail. Once you arrive at the Vastur restaurant, you can enjoy a hot drink, a Grisons snack or a fondue for refreshment.
You can either bring your own sledge or hire one from the Vastur restaurant (the host will organize transport back to the restaurant).
The sledge run is approx. 3 km long and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Lower Engadin and the opposite side of the valley around the Val d'Uina and the Lower Engadin Dolomites. It runs along an open field.
Despite the liberating feeling and the high speed, beware of pedestrians on the two steep bottleneck bends. With a bit of luck and the perfect combination of a fast slope and little headwind, you can glide back to the Stron or Scuol turn-off and cross the "Val da Muglins" gorge to reach Sent.
