Details

Description

At the back of Vals, the mighty massif of the Güferhorn divides the alpine high valleys Canal and Läntatal. Between Zerfreila and Furggeltihorn right through the middle runs the Furggelti path, which is considered one of the most attractive pass routes in the region. The elongated ascent leads directly above the Zerfreila lake up to about 2700 m and the steep descent finally compensates with the fantastic panorama of the highest peaks and most powerful glaciers of the Valsertal. The return route from the Länta hut SAC to Zerfreila is considerably flatter and rewards enduring runners with places to stop and eat.

Safety Note

At times exposed sections. Freedom from dizziness and surefootedness are required.

On this hike, you have to expect cows with calves.
