Many people are often harsh and critical with themselves instead of being caring and understanding. In this course, you will learn to approach yourself consciously and benevolently. You will practice mindfulness and connectedness. The training is based on the research of Kristin Neff (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) and the expertise of Christopher Germer (Ph.D., clinical psychologist, Harvard Medical School in Boston). Research in psychology and neurology shows that self-compassion can become a habit that leads to a happier and healthier life. Many therapists consider this course as a foundation to incorporate mindfulness and compassion with deep understanding into their work.
