The collection of the Graubünden Art Museum comprises over 7000 works from all areas of the visual arts from the 18th century to the present.

Description

A small part of the holdings is permanently exhibited on three floors in the Villa Planta. They are mainly works by Graubünden or Swiss artists. Angelika Kauffmann, Giovanni Segantini, Augusto Giacometti, Giovanni Giacometti, Alberto Giacometti, Ferdinand Hodler, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, representatives of the "Red-Blue" group and contemporary Graubünden artists such as Matias Spescha, Not Vital, HR Giger, Pascale Wiedemann and Jules Spinatsch are represented with comprehensive groups of works. Media art also occupies a firm place in the presentation of the collection with video installations by Zilla Leutenegger or Gabriela Gerber/Lukas Bardill.
There are also about six exhibitions each year. In addition to presentations by historical and contemporary artists, group exhibitions can also be seen from time to time. The collection and the artistic, cultural and geographical environment of the Kunstmuseum form an important point of reference for the temporary exhibitions.
