Evangelische Kirche, Flond

The small church of Flond is beautifully integrated into the landscape. It was built on a rock and is located directly on the main road.

Architectural history

Built in 1713 by master mason Lorenz von Schnaus.

Unpretentious, south-east facing system, consisting of a nave and a retracted, three-sided closed choir that opens in the round arch. The choir is lower than the nave and vaulted with a barrel adapted to the polygon. Above the nave a vaulted wooden ceiling.
The tower: Stands on the south side of the choir, with a high, octagonal pointed helmet.

Modest polygon pulpit from the time of construction.
Bells: Inscriptions in Romance, 1731.
