Chapel St. Jakob Misanenga, Obersaxen

Description

The building: The chapel was built in 1617. The north-east-facing building has a hipped wooden ceiling. The ridge turret is the same as in Miraniga. The entrance is arched and chamfered. The building inscription 1617 is on a plaque above the door. Simple altar, same type as in Canterdu. Coarse, carved rococo antependium.Bells with inscriptions, 1617.Every year on St. James' Day, the parishioners went in procession to this chapel.
