The Gonzen iron mine in Sargans offers a labyrinth of tunnels and galleries, which have been partially open to the public since 1983. A restaurant and a museum complement the experience, and tours are available by prior arrangement.

The Plazza area is part of the largest cultivated chestnut grove in Europe. In October, some cascine (drying houses) are in operation and used for drying the chestnuts.

The Splügen natural ice rink is located at 1,460 metres above sea level. It is open daily from around mid-December to the beginning of March, depending on the temperature.
