The chapel of San Carlo al Sabbione, built in 1686, is located near the historic centre. In 2019, it will be immersed in color thanks to the artist David Tremlett.

Already in the Roman Empire about 2,000 years ago, the Julier Pass was of great importance. At the top of the pass there are still two columns of a Roman sanctuary.

In the middle of the wing of Piz Ela (3339 m above sea level), in the southeast ridge, there is a 2.5 m high and 6 m wide hole – the Ela hole. In February and October, a unique natural spectacle takes place here, when the sun casts its rays through the hole in the valley.
