Tschlin is remote, idyllic, intact and highly vital. Characterized by agriculture, the village presents a coexistence of people, animals and landscape more clearly than any other place. The village belongs to the municipality of Valsot and there are around 850 inhabitants living on an area of 15,800 km².

The Protestant Church in Zizers impresses with its tower raised in 1698 and the harmonious architecture of the choir and nave, which were extended in 1711. The cemetery connects the church with the former royal court.
