The flattened Bronze Age hill Crestaulta, which means "high hill", is located 300 meters west of the hamlet of Surin. The settlement was continuously inhabited between 2000 and 1200 BC and is considered one of the oldest in the inner Alpine region.

The House Steinbock in Igis, built in 1592, is the oldest building in the region. It features window columns with the Dolf coat of arms and coffered ceilings from the 17th century. Today, it serves as a boarding school for the College of Social Education.

The Aerial Tramway Urdenbahn is the core of the skiing area Arosa Lenzerheide, as it connects both destinations. After many years of planning and waiting, the cable car is in service since January 2014. Arosa Lenzerheide with its 225 kilometres of slopes, numerous mountain restaurants and sheer endless hours of sunshine, is the biggest connected skiing area of the Canton of Grisons.
