Gäud - a natural section of stream at the confluence of the cold Tomülbach and the Vals Rhine. From here, the river flows further towards Ilanz, the first city on the Rhine, and flows into the Vorderrhein.

We first learn of a chapel in Rabius – titled St. Mary – during the visitation of 1643. Between 1677 and 1679, the inhabitants of Rabius built a solid church with three altars as a chapel for the mother parish of Sumvitg.
