The plain of Sagogn and Schluein is located 700 m above sea level on a terrace above the river inlet of the Vorderrhein. The course is designed in such a way that it meets the requirements of a tournament course, but also the average golfer and beginner feel comfortable. Challenging lengths and varied modelling of fairways and greens will challenge good players.

In the 12th and 13th centuries, flocks of shepherds and cattle breeders emigrated from the upper Valais and settled parts of Graubünden. Around Medergen near Arosa, the Walsers, as they were called, left their animals on the pastures in the summer and built a collection of alpine and residential buildings that has been well preserved to this day.

The ATC Avalanche Training Centre is a stationary facility for practising avalanche victim searches with avalanche transceivers and avalanche probes. It enables training in the use of emergency equipment under almost realistic conditions.
