The Neu-Aspermont castle complex in Jenins dates back to the 13th century and is accessible all year round. It was rebuilt after the Swabian War in 1499 and features a spiral staircase in the tower.

The Rätia Ampla castle in Riom is the largest in the district of Surses. After the fire in the village in 1864 the wood of the fort was used for reconstruction. The former bishop's castle, built in 1227, can be viewed from the outside.
