"Scatlè" means something like "nested", the spruce forest is really nested with steep rock ledges, boulder debris fields and avalanche trains.
Between 1850 m and 2015 m above sea level, the 150 to 300 metre wide strip of forest stretches. The reserve, which covers about 5.5 hectares, is the highest primeval spruce forest in Europe.

The Kinderland Maran is open during Christmas-New Year and February. This Kinderland can only be used as a participant of the ski school.
